I don't know what I would have done without it! You're awesome!" Kids these days. So easy to please, for all the wrong reasons. I didn't go to the gym for most of last week - I went Tuesday then again today - partly because I am dumb, partly because I kept looking at myself in the mirror and thinking, "I am so smokin' hot! Who needs the gym?" - but, uh, hello I was looking smokin' hot because of the gym in the first place. Then today I was pah-theh-tic. Yesterday was Erica's wedding shower. It was lovely, if very calm. I am feeling a little restless; tired of seeing the same people all the time. All the people there were neat people, who I totally adore, but it was so...comfortable and quiet. Oh well. I just close my eyes and think of Belize. Or, alternatively, read violent vampire novels. I always thought that these supernatural novels would be worse than your average romance, but it appears they are actually a lot better. Or, at least, it is built-in to the premise that vampires are untrustworthy and violent lovers, while simultaneously being uber-sexy. That's cool. I did, however, bake cookies for the shower. My mom's Christmas cookies, which were a real hit. The food was pretty good. All home-made, and all pink. Tomatoes filled with goat cheese, and cantaloupe wrapped in proscutto, and red peppers and radishes with dip, and little chocolate cupcakes with hearts cut out of them and filled with strawberry jam. My cookies had five different colors of pink frosting (orange-pink, blue-pink, light-pink, dark-pink, and white with red sprinkles) and they were all heart shaped (big hearts, little hearts, stretched hearts, joined hearts). I want out of here - and, in fact, I will be done with Aardvark permanently in less than a month.
